Prosecutors on Monday charged Michael Jackson’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray with involuntary manslaughter, saying Murray had given the pop star a combination of surgical anesthetic and sedatives that resulted in his death last summer.

Australia’s Daily Telegraph reports:

MACQUARIE Group broker David Kiely, who was seen live on TV opening an email carrying pictures of model Miranda Kerr, will remain at the investment bank.

Macquarie said in a statement it had completed an internal review of the events of February 2 and action had been taken after discussions with the employee.

“He will remain an employee of Macquarie,” the statement said.

“Macquarie and the employee apologise for any offence that may have been caused.”

CBS News Diva Katie Couric Flaunts Expensive Jewels, Clothes in Photo Shoot as Staffers Laid Off

Facing huge budget cuts, CBS News laid off 90 people in the last week alone. But that piece of bad news didn’t prevent their $15 million-a-year CBS Evening News anchor from wearing expensive jewelry and clothes for a Harper’s Bazaar cover shoot.

As many formerly of the CBS News staff go home wondering where they will receive their next paycheck, CBS News diva Katie Couric will be styling this week with her best “glamourpuss” face in their mailboxes.

In between sending out cover letters, maybe her former staffers can read about what makes Katie feel sexist.

“I always feel sexiest when I’m in a little black dress with a really great pair of shoes. High heels of course.”

Mel Gibson Claims ‘A-hole’ Remark Directed at Publicist, Not Reporter

In a text message to KTLA reporter Sam Rubin, Mel Gibson claimed that his on-air “A-hole” insult that he made this week was directed at his publicist and not the WGN reporter he was being interviewed by.

WGN reporter Dean Richards wasn’t buying Gibson’s excuse, saying it sure seemed as though the insult was directed at him.
